Hi everyone,
I’m part of the global expansion team for Dessert39, a Korean dessert & café franchise brand with 400+ stores in Korea, currently preparing expansion into the US and Middle East (UAE / Saudi Arabia).
From past experience, we’ve learned that successful franchise expansion depends much more on local expertise and existing networks than on HQ-driven execution. Because of that, we’re not hiring a traditional full-time role.
Instead, we’re looking to connect with experienced freelance business developers / consultants who already work within the local F&B, café, retail, or franchise ecosystem.
What we’re looking for
Based in the US or Middle East (UAE, KSA, Qatar, etc.)
Experience with F&B, café chains, retail, or franchising
Strong local network (operators, investors, franchise groups, landlords, advisors)
Comfortable working on a commission-based / success-fee model
What the collaboration looks like
Identifying potential Master Franchise or Area Developer partners
Making qualified introductions and setting up meetings
Sharing local market insights (regulations, real estate, pricing, consumer behavior)
Supporting early-stage discussions with our HQ in Korea
This is not cold outreach or mass recruiting, and not a sales rep role.
It’s closer to a consulting / partnership model for people who already know the market.
